The Akshun Game Engine has been created to fuse a complex mesh of APIs with Smart contracts in a seamless integration that can be accurately managed and scaled.
It means that the data we rely on for our results are the same as the top broadcasters and betting platforms. We decided to work with the very highest quality data provider as we believe that by investing now, we are building the strongest foundations for the future.
Our open source sports data provider powers sports experiences across all media types, including the world’s biggest websites, news outlets, sportsbooks, and mobile applications.
Our data is captured in real-time, before being delivered to clients through our extensive range of feeds, which are offered at different detail levels depending on your requirements. This breadth allows us to offer you everything from live text commentaries, to deep historical data, to season-to-date cumulative stats.
Akshun is on the blockchain as we believe in decentralisation, transparency and the power of the community. It allows us to have a completely transparent prize pool, instantly traceable Akshuns and much more. We are NFT collectors and own NFTs across many different blockchains.
When it came to creating Akshun, we used the Ethereum Blockchain for several reasons.
Stability. Ethereum has been around a long time. It was the first to introduce the concept of smart contracts. The infrastructure for most digital assets was built for and remains compatible with Ethereum and Ethereum-related protocols. Most major trading happens on the Ethereum Blockchain.
Sustainability. Since the switch to a proof-of-stake protocol, Ethereum has lowered its energy costs by 99%. This was a huge factor in our decision to use Ethereum. Security. Ethereum is a very secure blockchain with an active community constantly improving and protecting the network from attacks and censorship.
Versatility. Ethereum is home to many Dapps. Layer 2 bridges to Polygon and others offers us the ability to offer our community more flexibility and cost savings. More about Ethereum at Ethereum.org
We are always seeking to identify any improvements we can make to Akshun. A layer 2 solution that enhances Akshun is already in the pipeline and we aim to roll this out in the near future.
